[ Have you missed Shooter being loud, Route? Well, never fear. The boy waves Ecruteak's gym badge in his free hand, and there's a Cyndaquil clinging to his shoulder. He seems to be sitting on a Rhyhorn, somewhere along Route 38. ]

Dun-dun-DAHH! Got my fourth badge! And a new addition to the team, too-- meet Tin Pin Teal! I just traded a big grumpy Golem for him, and it was great. If anyone has stuff to trade, you should totally let me know.

Oh! And we're headed to Olivine next. What's the Gym there like? What do you get for beating the Leader? I keep getting HMs with funny names but I don't know if they're any of the good ones, and a true master should know this stuff.

HEY, EVERYONE!

[ Welp, looks like Shooter is fine. The kid sits on the back of his Rhyhorn, a Charmeleon at his side -- and a blindfold on his face. The frayed bandana that usually holds his hair up is now tied over his eyes instead, and judging by the weird angle he holds the 'gear at, it's working.

Orange the Charmeleon gives the camera the most exasperated look a lizard can, a shiny new Hive Badge in his claws. ]

These bugs are really super ultra creepy, but I'm not scared! Check it out, we got BADGE NUMBER TWO! I'm totally qualified to take on these things, like a real actual hero. I got a bunch of those special Pokeballs and everything.

And look-- I came up with the best idea. They only suck out your soul if you look at them, right? So if I fight blind, I'll be FINE! It'll be AWESOME.

[ Then there's a pause, slightly more uncertain than Shooter tends to be. That scare back in Union Cave shook him up, and... well, maybe having a grownup around would be good. Or even another kid, so long as he's not out alone. He really doesn't want to be alone. ]

Oh, and if anyone needs a bro to go through the big forest with, you should totally give me a call. Goldenrod's supposed to be cool.

[ The feed starts up to show a grinning Shooter, Rattata perched on his shoulder, forest rolling by in the background. The camera swerves and bobs continuously, jostled as the boy holding it seems to be... riding an animal? The camera's pointed upwards to his face; it's all offscreen. ]

WHOA. This is so crazy! I went to sleep and it was May and then I woke up yesterday and it was, like, not May anymore! Do you think a Pokemon knocked me out? Or maybe there were these psychic waves that got me, or I had like a BRAIN problem, or something else AWESOME! It's like I survived some big cool adventure and I don't even know it.

I never even got to show you guys my Easter present, right? I was keeping him a surprise for when he got really super ultra big and strong! Go on, ask what kind of Pokemon he is, he's SO COOL.

[ Throughout the afternoon, anyone within a few days of Violet City -- in the direction of Union Cave -- might find a big dark shape approaching from the distance. Very quickly. But don't worry, it's just a little boy!

[ While most sane people are inside right now, one little boy is running around Violet like this is the best day ever. It's difficult to see, between the water drops on the camera and his Buneary's terrible camerawork, but the kid is dressed in jeans and a T-shirt -- soaked to the bone, hugging a plain metal bucket to his chest. ]

[ And then he's cut off as the Pokegear is violently flung several feet away, clattering to the ground just in time to get a glimpse of a flailing Buneary with an angry Surskit clinging to it. By the time Shooter picks the 'gear back up, the kid's given up on video feeds entirely. ]
