[ When the feed starts up, it's hard to tell what you're looking at, between shaky camerawork and a dark setting. The first minute offers nothing but a jumbled view of rocks and dirt, lit by what seems like a candle flame. Sniffling and quick breathing come from just offscreen, joined occasionally by the grinding scrape of rock on rock.
Then the 'gear turns abruptly on a disheveled Shooter. The boy is chewing his lip and swiping at wet eyes, dirt in his hair, scrapes on his face and shoulder. In the background are rocks, and some of them move; the boy's Rhyhorn shoves itself relentlessly against the new wall of stone, a Charmeleon providing enough light to see by. The ceiling is low enough to keep them crouching, and it's cramped with just the three bodies. ]

[ His voice catches. For the first time since he arrived in Johto -- six months and counting -- Shooter's crying in front of someone. He'll argue if you dare to point this out, of course.
But he's still just a ten-year-old out alone. ]
I'd call Doc b-but Doc isn't here, my mom and dad aren't here, um-- I don't think I can move the rocks--
